I wonder how many blog readers use email to keep up? Commoncraft recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commoncraft.com\/archives\/001156.html\">notified readers<\/a> that he was doing away with email updates. <\/p>\n<p>It interesting, I seem to get the most understanding of feeds when explained in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsgator.com\/ngs\/default.aspx\">relation to MS Outlook<\/a> or other email programs&#8230;<\/p>\n<pre><tt>Study: 11% of Blog Readers Use RSS Technology to Manage Feeds<br \/><br \/>New York --About 11% of weblog readers use RSS (Really Simple <br \/>Syndication) to sort through the increasing number of blogs available, <br \/>according to a new study by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nielsen-netratings.com\/news.jsp\">Nielsen\/\/NetRatings<\/a>. <br \/><br \/>The firm said that <br \/>5% of blog readers use feed aggregation software and more than 6% <br \/>percent use a feed aggregating web site to monitor RSS feeds from <br \/>blogs. &quot;While RSS is an established technology, the growing <br \/>popularity of blogs has catapulted RSS into the spotlight as a content <br \/>personalization tool,&quot; said Jon Gibs, a senior research manager for <br \/>Nielsen\/\/NetRatings.
